Some Japanese articles say that Repetto will open a boutique in Ginza, the most luxurious area in Tokyo, on 21 July 2012. It will be located close to Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, Cartier, Max Mara, ... and Zara!

NBS annouced all the programs of the 13th World Ballet Festival in detail, still not complete though. Gala is added on 16 August.
Sadly, Mathias Heymann withdrew as he is not yet recovered from injury, NBS says, and he will be replaced by Josua Hoffalt at the recommendation by Aurélie Dupont. Hoffalt will appear with A. Dupont in Program B and Gala, dancing Other Dances (Robbins) and l'Anatomie de la sensation (McGregor).

Tickets : from 25,000 yen, category S, to 7,000 yen, category E (Programme A and B) / from 15,000 yen to 4,000 yen (Full-length programme)

Stuttgart Ballet is currently touring Japan. The Taming of the Shrew is done yesterday and now they are preparing for Swan Lake in Tokyo. A cast change is announced today through NBS that Maria Eichwald withdrew from Odette/Odile in Swan Lake on 6 June due to the recurrence of an earlier injury after she danced Katherina las night. She will be replaced by Anna Osadcenko along with Evan McKie replacing Marijn Rademaker who had been scheduled to partner Maria Eichwald.
By the way, I so much enjoyed the Taming of the Shrew. It's not the first time for me to see this ballet but again I wonder how anyone can create such a ballet. John Cranko was a genius indeed. (And Marcia Haydée!) All the dancers were so committed and brought a great performance. I loved Sue Jin Kang (Katherina), Filip Barankiewicz (Petruchio) (dynamic and masculine!), and all the hilarious second roles. Also the company seems in very good form.
I will be attending Osadcenko/McKie's Swan Lake.
