Ca faisait longtemps : après une éclipse de quelques mois, la Sarkissova refait parler d'elle, et évidemment pas à la rubrique "Spectacles" des journaux autrichiens
Au magazine Oesterreich 24 elle explique qu'elle vient de divorcer de son époux, un businessman en vue de Vienne. Motif : le monsieur avait pris 20 kilos, ce qui ne plaisait absolument pas à la ballerine, qui entendait manifestement soumettre son conjoint au même régime que celui exigé par sa profession de danseuse.
La dame étant actuellement célibataire, avis aux kamikazes de l'amour...
Quant à Manuel Legris, fini les vacances, on compatit sincèrement...

Dominique Meyer's contract as director of the Vienna State Opera has been renewed until August 2020.
This was announced today by the Austrian minister of culture Claudia Schmied.

He will perform lieder by Schubert, Schumann and R.Strauss. The aim of this benefit concert is to support the project "Young Choreographers of the Staatsballett" (patronage: Manuel Legris).

On the Austrian Freedom Party's website another member of the Unterreiner family welcomes Dominique Meyer's contract extension until 2020. Heidemarie Unterreiner is a Member of Parliament in charge of cultural affairs.
It is rather unusual in Austrian politics that an FPÖ deputy appreciates the decision of a social democratic minister.

Is there any information about who will be dancing
at the Young Choreopgraphers' programme on Feb 26, 27, 28?
The official announcements only tell the names of the choreographers,
but not the dancers.

As Ms Tichy-Luger, the president of the ballet club, did not send me an invitation to the press conference, I do not have any information about this production.

| Pierre Lacotte will be the choreographer of the Staatsballett's performance at the Viennese Opera Ball 2012. This year Manuel Legris will not be dancing.

! I have to say it was the best moment of the ballet : both dancers were very nice to look at, there was a good alchemy between them; I found Princess Florine very subtle and graceful, and the Blue bird, presented by the programme as "the best male Italian dancer abroad" (!) was not bad at all, I liked him; the entrechats were not perfect but at least he had some presence on the stage !
