Vaganova 2010. Il a dansé le Grand pas classique avec Olga Smirnova pour le spectacle de fin d'études de l'Académie Vaganova cette même année (la vidéo est sur Youtube : http://youtu.be/hz_U2prpefA ). Engagé aussitôt après comme deuxième soliste par le Mikhaïlovsky. Il a depuis dansé quelques premiers rôles. Une grosse perte pour le Mariinsky (exactement comme, cette année, avec Olga Smirnova) qui l'aurait obligé à passer par la case corps de ballet.>

Si je m'en souviens bien, Mlle Yapparova/M. Yakhnyuk a ete distribues dans la Casse-Noisette, en plus Mlle Yapparova dans Romeo et Juliette quand ils sont venus chez nous avec leur Compagnie la saison derniere. Si on avait habite a Tokyo, on aurait pu choisir la distribution. Je suis allee voir la Casse-Noisette dans la ville ou j'habite. Mais ce n'etaient pas eux qui ont danse. Bien que Mlle Shestakova ne soit pas tout a fait en forme, et que je n'aime pas M. Shivakov, j'ai passe une tres bonne soiree.

Pour cette saison, le theatre Mikhailovsky ne donnera qu'un spectacle dans la ville de provine proprement dite. J'imagine quelques raisons :
1: Il y a aussi la tournne du theatre Bolchoi. On ne fera donc pas la concurrence qui finira mal pour le Mikhailovsky.
2: La nouvelle direction a change de principe.
3: Dans la ville ou j'habite, ou dans quelques villes voisines, on a de moins en moins de spectateurs depuis deux ou trois ans. En 2006, la petite salle de theatre de notre ville avait ete presque pleine. La saison derniere, beaucoup de places de categorie S (la premiere categorie) mal situees n'etaient pas louees. La direction du theatre commence donc a renoncer a donner des spectacles dans les villes de province.

Si c'est pour les deux dernieres raisons que le theatre Mikhailovskiy ne vient pas cette saison pres de chez moi, je perdrai un petit plaisir en hiver pendant un certain temps.

Concerning Love from Paris - Etoiles gala 28/01-02/02/2012, Benjamin Pech, Dorothée Gilbert, Isabelle Ciaravola, and Florian Magnenet will visit two cities in Tohoku, Sendai and Ishinomaki, on 23rd january, before the gala in Tokyo, to give ballet classes to the children who are learning in the ballet schools there.

Le NHK organise au debut de l'annee un concert par les chanteurs d'opera. C'est normalement le 3 janvier ou le concert a lieu, et il est diffuse en direct en tele.
Cette annee, le Tokyo ballet a danse dans ce concert L'Apres-midi d'un faune en commemorant a la fois le 150e anniversaire de naissance de Debussy et la centieme annee de la creation du ballet de Nijinski. Mlle UENO (Mizuka) en nymphe, M. GOTO (Haruo) en faune.

Again concerning Love from Paris - Etoiles gala in Tokyo, the official website announced a little cast change.

Dorothée Gilbert is now in Pech's new work Stabat Mater with Pech himself, replacing Charline Giezendanner. Instead, Giezendanner replaces Gilbert in Apollon musagète.

Another little news. Now about Bolshoi's Japan tour.
It seems David Hallberg joins part of the tour and he is scheduled to dance with Svetlana Lunkina in Swan Lake in Hamamatsu on 29th january, replacing Semyon Chudin. Rothbart would be Vladislav Lantratov.

Dominique Khalfouni, Marine Ganio and Florian Magnenet are coming to Tokyo in August for the "1er Concours Internationals chaussons d'or à Tokyo" as judge (Khalfouni as jury president). They will also teach in the workshop which will be held for 4 days before the concours, and, as a special show, Khalfouni will teach Petit's Thais to M. Ganio and Magnenet after Finals.

Asami Maki Ballet will be performing Roland Petit's Notre-Dame de Paris in upcoming february. Petit offten worked with this company, where he discovered Tamiyo Kusakari, Mizuka Ueno (now with the Tokyo Ballet), Ken Kikuchi, and others.

This news has just come from my friend. According to the interview on the latest SWAN MAGAZINE, Mathias Heymann will be coming to Japan to join the World Ballet Festival in August 2012 (I have to run to the bookstore now !)

I must add that the actual article in SWAN MAGAZINE says that Heymann is invited to a certain ballet festival in Tokyo this summer & NOT specifically World Ballet Festival, because at this point no participants are officially revealed nor confirmed for WBF and media control by NBS is very strict.
