“WORKS & PROCESS”
On Feb. 10, dancers from the Flamenco Festival (including members of the companies of María Pagés and Rocío Molina) will take part in a kind of danced fashion show, illustrating flamenco’s links to the artistic avant-garde, including costumes by Picasso and Dalí. The défilé will be put into historical perspective by the Spanish dance critic and historian Roger Salas. Then, Valentine’s Day will be marked with a love-themed performance, pairing neurological theories about love and lust with ballet. Clairemarie Osta and Mathieu Ganio, both étoiles in the Paris Opera Ballet, will dance excerpts from “Giselle,” Balanchine’s “Emeralds,” and a ballet by Nicolas Le Riche, “Caligula.” (Guggenheim Museum, Fifth Ave. at 89th St. 212-423-3587 212-423-3587.
