New video (2003) on Prof. Natalia Dudinskaya. Does not yet appear to exist in DVD format. As this writer has no television, have not seen the film, but report its existence nevertheless on account of its unusual interest.
Dudinskaya taught – to name only two of her outstanding students still on active duty – Irina Zhelonkina and U. Lopatkina.
The video includes footage of her taking class from Agrippina Vaganova alongside other leading figures of the Mariinskii, footage of her dancing in “Laurentsia”, “Bayadère” etc., interviews with her partners such as Vakhtang Chabukiani, K. Sergeyev, B. Bregvadse, et al., as well as with several actresses who were close friends.
It would appear to be entirely in the Russian language, without subtitles.
Of Natalia Dudinskaya, G. Stolyareva wrote in the Saint Petersburg Times on Friday January 31st 2003:
“(…) known for her regal, noble spirit and lack of arrogance, and for her combination of elegant grace and almost masculine strength of will (…) No obstacle, it seemed, could wipe the jubilant smile off the dancer's face, and no challenge was too intimidating for her.”
The film may be ordered through a Russian Internet shop known as OZON, at http://www.mmv.ru/p/ballet/
