Audition Professional Dance Program & Junior Ballet

Dance Area Professional Dance Program & Junior Ballet is aiming to work and help young artists between 16 and 22 years old in their professional career and their path towards their commitment in an international company.

The program’s emphasis is on ballet and contemporary techniques. It includes daily training in ballet and contemporary and weekly classes of improvisation, composition, ballet and contemporary partnering, repertoire workshops, physical theatre, Pilates, Yoga.

From the second year the students join the school company: the Area Jeune Ballet. The dancers work regularly with guest choreographers and benefit from numerous stage opportunities as well as individual artistic coaching and career guidance.

Each year, renowned and emerging choreographer create or rebuilt pieces for the Area Jeune Ballet. The Junior Company performs for regional, national and international festivals as well as private events in Swiss and in Europe.

Training Monday to Friday: 36hours/week
The duration of the course is a maximum of 3 years.
The program starts in September and finish in June.

Depending on their technical level and artistic background, some students may be admitted directly into the second year.
