Un festival important : plusieurs troupes américaines collaborent pour présenter au public américain, les oeuvres de Ashton. En même temps, le Ballet Royal anglais en tournée aux USA à ces fins.
"Ongoing coverage of the Lincoln Center Festival’s ASHTON CELEBRATION, at the Metropolitan Opera House, July 6-17. Four companies—the Royal Ballet, the Birmingham Royal Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet, and K-Ballet Company—dance the ballets of Frederick Ashton, in honor of the centenary of his birth."
