The Wiener Staatsballett will perform Roland Petit's The Bat and probably a mixed bill including Glow - Stop (Jorma Elo), Skew-Whiff (Paul Lightfoot, Sol León) and Bach Suite III (John Neumeier) during their tour in spring 2012.

(text in japanese --> english by google translation --> modify and cut)

"Sad to say, but I cannot participate in "Love from Paris - Etoiles." It's been a year since I've had fatigue fractures of my tibia. It's not fully recovered but getting worse. I still dance, though, the symptoms are becoming severe than before. Now I have to undergo sugery and rest at least two months. (...)

(...) the ever lasting support to the dancers of Paris Opera Ballet was a great pleasure for me. Also in this gala, it will be a great success even without me.

I also look forward to dance in Japan again."

------------

(--> francais par google transtation)

Some updates from Tokyo.

- Manuel Legris will dance the role "Ulrich" in Petit's La Chauve-souris in Kobe on 3 May 2012 during the Japan tour of the Vienna State Ballet. Bella will be performed by Maria Yakovleva, Johann will be Roman Lazik. Still no detail is announced yet by NBS about the tour in Tokyo, but Legris must dance Ulrich in Tokyo, too, I believe.

- Evgenia Obraztsova and Alexei Timofeyev of Mariinsky Ballet will be guesting with NBA Ballet Company in Tokyo. They will dance the main roles in Les Millions d'Arlequin of Marius Petipa, which will be reconstructed and re-choreographed by Tetsuji Adachi of NBA Ballet based on the notation by Nicholas Sergeyev. "The Magical Island", The Humpbacked Horse Act II (Natalia Voskreshenskaya, after Arthur Sain-Léon) will be performed, too. Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 February, 2012, at U-port Hall in Tokyo.

- Wan Qimin and Li Jun from National Ballet of China will be guesting with the New National Bellet, Tokyo in Swan Lake (Asami Maki). They will perform on 5 and 8 May 2012, replacing Zakharova and Uvarov. Other casts will be Ayako Ono/Yudai Fukuoka (6, 11/5), Maki Kawamura/Tetsuo Kaikawa (12/5), Yui Yonezawa/Hideo Sugano (13/5).

mizuko a écrit:
A ballet lesson DVD with Dorothée Gilbert will be released from Shinshokan next year! This announcement is on Shinshokan's DVD catalog, but there's no other info.

It seems we can meet her in this DVD slightly before the real Dorothée arrives in Japan (for Love from Paris gala).

Shinshokan announces this will be released in late next January and come out in two volumes, 5,460 yen each volume, both with 60 minutes bonus. You can pre-order on the online ballet shop Fairy.

http://fairy.ol.shopserve.jp/SHOP/4560219322561.html
http://fairy.ol.shopserve.jp/SHOP/4560219322578.html

Those will be featuring Dorothée Gilbert, l'Etoile de l'Opéra de Paris, taking a class lesson "in the style of Paris Opera Ballet." Alessio Carbone will be joining her and Gil Isoart will be teaching. Volume 1 will be warm-up and barre, vol. 2 center and pointe. It seems not only interview but also Juliet's variation is filmed in the bonus, plus! she is giving us a tour of Palais Garnier and her backstage.
